Physician Anesthesiologists Week 2023

It's Physician Anesthesiologists Week and we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the dedicated and skilled anesthesiologists that make up the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at UCLA. At UCLA, our physician anesthesiologists are highly trained and skilled professionals who work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide the highest level of care to our patients. They are responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients before, during and after surgery. They also play a critical role in pain management, which is essential for the recovery process.

We are proud to acknowledge the outstanding contributions that our physician anesthesiologists make to the field of medicine. Our team is composed of leaders in anesthesiology at all levels: in quality improvement, global health, education, advocacy, and research.
