Our International Fellows

Outstanding ophthalmologists from outside the United States come to the UCLA Stein Eye Institute each year to acquire expertise in a subspecialty field of ophthalmology, expertise that they can take back to their countries and use in patient care and teaching. The international fellow spends one year observing clinical practice and participating in vision science research under the supervision of specific faculty. Each program is unique and customized to meet the needs and interests of the visiting ophthalmologist.
