Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship
About Our Program
Thank you for your interest in the Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship Program at UCLA! The mission of our program is for fellows to become experts caring for a diverse pediatric dermatology population in Los Angeles, within a mentored environment. The program’s mission aligns with UCLA Health’s mission to deliver leading-edge patient care, research and education. Our training is an ACGME-approved one-year program where our fellow will gain expertise in evaluating and treating a wide range of skin conditions both in the outpatient setting and the inpatient consultative service. Fellows will also have opportunities to teach, perform research, attend grand rounds and national conferences.
Clinical Training
The Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship at UCLA Health offers exceptional training across multiple sites, including UCLA Medical Center, Olive View-UCLA, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Fellows participate in a monthly multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic and rotate through various pediatric subspecialty clinics at Mattel Children’s Hospital. The program includes hands-on procedural training in excisions and lasers, as well as experience with phototherapy and excimer laser. Fellows have a weekly continuity clinic and gain inpatient experience at UCLA’s tertiary care hospitals, working alongside dermatology residents and dermatology hospitalists. With a high volume of inpatient consults and outpatient visits, fellows receive broad, in-depth exposure to pediatric dermatology.
