Anti-Vaping Task Force
The Anti-Vaping Champions Task Force is the backbone of our efforts to combat the vaping epidemic. Comprised of dedicated individuals and organizations from multiple sectors, our Task Force works collaboratively to educate community members, raise awareness, and foster statewide initiatives that protect our youth from the dangers of vaping.
We meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 12-1pm to discuss vaping trends, policy changes, and future efforts to combat use among youth and other highly impacted populations.
Our Policy Priorities
- Flavored Nicotine Ban Regulation: We educate community members and tobacco retailers about California’s existing ban on flavored nicotine products.
- Secondhand Smoke in Public Spaces and Multi-Unit Housing: We inform neighbors of the harmful impacts of secondhand smoke in public spaces and multi-unit housing.
- Improved Screening and Cessation Treatment: We promote clinical best practices related to vaping cessation, particularly for young people.
- Emerging Tobacco-Related Products: We educate legislators on the Tobacco Industry’s incessant attempts to evade existing laws by creating new products.
