Public Health & Primary Care Interest Group
Medical students will work collaboratively with faculty and student organizations to work on projects regarding public health.

Preventive Medicine Rotation
4th year Clerkship
During their 4th year, medical students are welcome to rotate with our faculty and physicians to learn about local projects impacting public health and prevention initiatives. Students rotating will get the opportunity to learn about pursuing a career in preventive medicine and public health.
Clerkship Director, Denise Nunez, MD, MPH supports our medical students during the rotation.
What is Preventive Medicine?
Short presentations from multiple speakers in preventive medicine careers. Our guest speakers will outline career paths and current available research/projects in which students can participate.
LAC DPH Day
Students will have the opportunity to experience activities within the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, shadowing a physician in the department.
Joint Function on Climate Change
Students will hold a collaborative event with the Climate Change Interest Group.
