The Department of Pediatrics and the UCLA Children's Discovery and Innovation Institute (CDI Institute) at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine encourage multidisciplinary child health research and training across the spectrum of basic, translational, clinical and health services research.
One of the major goals of the CDI Institute is to train pediatric subspecialty physician-scientists who will focus on improving the fundamental understanding of pediatric diseases and devising innovative approaches for treatment. Through the generous support of various donors, the CDI Fellows Research Support Award was established in 2016 to provide research funding for competitively selected UCLA pediatric scholars in their second or third years of training. This funding is for one year and nonrenewable.
Please see CDI Fellows Research Support RFA for eligibility criteria and application submission details. Next annual cycle will follow similar RFA and due dates.
