Timelines for Grant Submissions
In order to better assist you with your grant submissions, we are requesting that you notify the Pre-Award Office of any upcoming proposal deadlines as well as provide a draft budget and biosketches for our review at least 15 business days in advance of the due date (for larger multi-projects or multi-site grants, please provide a minimum of 6 weeks’ notice). Please note that while you can continue to work on the scientific proposal materials beyond this 15-day notice period, we request that all materials be sent to us for preliminary review no later than 7 business days in advance of the due date and all final materials be submitted to our office no later than 8am on the due date.
- Failure to notify our office at least 15 business days in advance of the due date may result in our office being unable to submit your proposal.
- All materials received at least 7 business days in advance of the due date will receive a full review. Materials received after this deadline will only receive a compliance review.
- All final proposal materials must be received by 8am on the due date (no further edits can be made) or the proposal will not be submitted.

The CDI Internal Grant Review Process is required for UCLA Department of Pediatrics faculty members submitting their first K-level grant or first R-level grant. Please see the two attachments and contact Aria Mohseny, [email protected], with any questions and/or to initiate the review process.
