Miriam Lane, MD

Dr. Miriam Lane was born in California and raised in Kansas. At sixteen, she entered Wichita State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. While at Wichita, Lane worked in a cancer research lab where she helped identify biomarkers for the early detection of ovarian cancer.

After college, Lane attended medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. Lane also received accolades for her work as a medical student with the University of Kansas Department of Radiation Oncology developing methods to reduce the duration of beam-on time for breast cancer radiation. Lane completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Beyond her professional and research interests, Lane is passionate about healthcare education. She has a particular passion for educating and inspiring children and young adults about joining the medical field, as well as health and anatomy education. In addition to her teaching efforts, Dr. Miriam Lane worked as a volunteer at a free local clinic and high school clinic in an underserved part of the community.
