We are excited to introduce our RFJ Mentorship Program for Urology Residents. This mentorship model is focused on increasing the likelihood of trainees successfully completing a urologic residency and progressing to careers in urology by providing mentorship throughout the residency process.
Mentor information will be uploaded to the platform so that we can place you with a mentee with whom you have something in common. We ask that you share the following information with us:
- Name
- Academic Title
- Photo
- Hometown
- Residency
- Urologic subspecialty/ Area of professional interest
- Hobbies/interests
Once we upload this information, residents will be able to request to contact you. We will try to pair mentors with mentees based on interests/background/stated needs. We will then set up the resident-mentor pairs and establish a connection.
We anticipate that residents will want someone to talk to about career advice and/or navigating residency.
You can be in contact as often as you would like, but we do ask that you check in at least 3 times per year. Residents are often afraid to bother us and may need a nudge to truly take advantage of the mentorship we are offering.
