The UCLA Center for Cholesterol Management is a consultative program for the evaluation and treatment of lipid disorders. The center is multidisciplinary (cardiology, endocrinology, and nutrition) and combines aggressive medical management with nutrition and exercise counseling.
The Cholesterol Management Center is ideal for any patient requiring lipid modifying therapy, including:
- Complex lipid disorders, necessitating frequent follow up
- Mixed lipid disorders, involving combination therapy
- High risk patients requiring rapid clinical goal achievement
- Patients who have been resistant or intolerant to prior therapy
- Specialized follow up of all dyslipidemia patients
