The UCLA Heart Valve Diseases Program’s goal is to be able to provide multidisciplinary comprehensive care to patients with valvular heart disease. The UCLA Heart Valve Program offers state-of-the-art care in the following services:
Imaging procedures
- Transthoracic echocardiography
- Transesophageal echocardiography including 3D TEE
- Intracardiac echocardiography
- Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Catheter-based procedures
- Balloon Valvuloplasty (aortic valve, mitral valve, pulmonic valve)
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (Edwards SAPIEN valve)
- Transcatheter Pulmonic Valve Implantation (Medtronic MELODY valve)
Surgical-based procedures
- Surgical valve replacement including minimally invasive aortic valve replacement (AVR)
- Surgical valve repair including robotic-assisted mitral valve repair
