How to Contact Your Child’s Team After Leaving the Hospital

Emergencies
If you have an emergency, call 911 or head to the nearest emergency department.

Urgent question after hours
If it’s after hours and you have an urgent question that doesn’t require emergency care, you may reach your child’s medical team by calling the page operator at 310-825-6301. Ask for the doctor on call for the team that takes care of your child’s illness. For example, if your child has diabetes, you can call the UCLA Health Page Operator and ask to page the pediatric endocrinologist on call. If your child is being treated for cancer, you would ask the Page Operator to page the pediatric oncologist on call.

Once paged, the doctor will return your call within the next hour.
