The UCLA Center for East-West Medicine Visiting Scholar Training Program is designed to equip visiting scholars with a global perspective of integrative medicine in the United States and at UCLA in order to facilitate greater collaboration between international academic institutions.

Haoyue Li, MD (China), PhD, is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physician and Assistant Professor at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing, China. With eight years of independent clinical experience in TCM and over four years in international medical collaboration, Dr. Li has led two research projects on international herbal medicine development and talent training, while contributing to more than 10 national, state, and institutional-level research initiatives. Since 2019, she has published 12 first-author papers and 15 additional co-authored publications.

Dr. Li specializes in TCM clinical and theoretical research, as well as fostering international exchange and collaboration in the field. During her visit at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, she has focused on the Center's Visual History Project and promoting the global implementation of integrative medicine to optimize healthcare through international collaboration.
