Dr. Al-Hillan joins UCLA as an advanced endoscopy fellow and clinical instructor faculty member starting July 1, 2024. Dr. Al-Hillan earned his medical degree at Al-Nahrain University College of Medicine. He then moved to the United States to complete his internal medicine residency at Hackensack Meridian Health, serving as chief resident and earning a medical MBA during his tenure. Driven by a passion for gastroenterology, Dr. Al-Hillan pursued a hepatology and liver transplant fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in the Houston Medical Center. There, he gained extensive experience in managing liver diseases and liver transplantation patients. Following this, he joined William Beaumont University Hospital for a general gastroenterology fellowship, where he excelled as chief fellow. Dr. Al-Hillan's primary interests lie in hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. He is committed to advancing patient care through innovative treatments and compassionate practice. His extensive training and expertise enable him to effectively address complex gastrointestinal conditions. At UCLA, Dr. Al-Hillan will be an integral part of the interventional endoscopy team, contributing to both academic and clinical excellence. He is actively involved in research and education, aiming to advance the field and mentor future gastroenterologists.
