The Women’s Cardiovascular Annual Event, 'Let's Talk; Women's Heart Health' was first launched on October 14, 2017. Our unique 'Heart Health & Mindful Living' event was unlike any we've presented before! A world of discovery unfolds as UCLA Women's Cardiovascular Health Doctors present a day packed with information, from a handful of experts focused on heart health, preventative measures, stress reduction, mindful living and more.
Women often present with different symptoms than men, the Women's Cardiovascular Center takes a specialized approach to caring for women with heart disease, offering a comprehensive array of cardiovascular healthcare services designed specifically for women, available to you in a single location.

On Saturday March 16, 2024, the UCLA Women's Cardiovascular Center presented another successful Let's Talk; Women's Heart Health program to over 300 guests at UCLA's California NanoSystems Institute. The theme 'A healthy heart is key to thriving at all ages' included a presentation by leading women cardiologists sharing information about the latest research and innovative therapuetics aimed at improving women's health. The panelists included Karol Watson, M.D., Ph.D., Marcella Calfon Press, M.D., Ph.D. Tamara Horwich, M.D., M.S., Anne Saltzman, Psy.D., Janki Shah, M.D., Lua Jafari M.D., Rajita Patil M.D., Jonathan Tobias M.D., Shipra Hingorany M.D., and guest speakers. Attendees also enjoyed heart healthy snacks during a reception hour that included educational information, table displays, soothing jazz music, and additional UCLA associates and resources.

2023 Lets Talk Heart, Body & Soul

- In celebration of American Heart Month: Let's Talk; Women's Heart Health; this year's event took place at the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center and included presentations from the Women’s Cardiovascular Center directors and physicians: Karol Watson, M.D., Ph.D. Marcella Calfon Press, M.D., Ph.D. Tamara Horwich, M.D., M.S., Anjani Mattai, M.D. Anne Saltzman, Psy.D. Janki Shah, M.D. and Vijaya Surampudi, M.D. The physicians were joined by special guests Marin Hinkle and Diana Winston, and additional patient speakers.
2022 Lets Talk Women's Heart Health

- At our first virtual event, a large audience heard from a panel of experts during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the latest innovations and therapeutics aimed at improving heart health through stress reduction and lifestyle changes. Our pioneering research on the heart-mind connection at the UCLA Women's Cardiovascular Center continues to show great promise in diagnosing and caring for our cardiovascular patients.

Our event sold out; partners, teens, family and friends joined to share this engaging, unique celebration for healthier, mindful living! Ms. Bri Winkler(former ABC7 Eyewitness News Morning Meteorologist) Emceed the event, as attendees spent the day enjoying a delicious heart-healthy menu sampling, soothing live music, and tables packed with information, tips and resources for healthy diet and lifestyle.
