Predicting the Safety and Efficacy of Inferior Vena Cava Filters (PRESERVE)
The PRESERVE study is a multi-center, prospective, open-label investigation of IVC filters placed in patients to prevent pulmonary embolism (PE). The study is examining the safety and effectiveness of commercially available IVC filters from six manufacturers. Participants who receive IVC filters as part of standard of care are evaluated at procedure and filter removal. Patients with long-term filter placement are followed at 6-month intervals for up to 2 years (3, 6, 12, 18 and 24-month). The study is open and enrolling patients.
