Financial Matters

Please bring your insurance card(s) with you when you come for your appointment. You will also need to bring your referral from your primary care physician if you have been referred by your medical group.

Blood Transfusion

If you will be having surgery, you may want to know your options for blood transfusions ahead of time. While many surgeries do not require blood transfusions, if they become necessary, the safest blood is always your own. However, if you need blood, you have several options. This information is designed to help you decide if, and what kind, of blood transfusion options are right for you.

Accommodations

Because of its central location, the Medical Center is in close proximity to many fine hotels that can act as temporary residences for both patients and family members. In addition to commercial hotels, there are several facilities on the UCLA campus that provide excellent temporary housing for visiting families.
