Charitable Giving to the UCLA Kidney Exchange Program
The UCLA Kidney Exchange Program relies on private funding to support patient care and research. Our clinicians are dedicated to providing innovative options to patients who need a kidney transplant and have a willing but incompatible donor. This effort has the potential to increase the number of available live donor kidneys by 30-40%.
Numerous activities are crucial to the Program. There is a critical need to continue exploring novel ways of expanding the donor pool, as well as to perfect monitoring and treatment options for organ rejection. Some such initiatives are federally funded; however, available dollars have dwindled considerably. Charitable giving brings new ideas to fruition and enables investigators to effectively compete for scarce grants.
All gifts are appreciated, and your contribution will help ensure the continuation of this program that has already touched many lives. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. If you are interested in funding a specific project, hearing about endowment opportunities, making a bequest or other estate gift, or discussing how you can give in a way that provides you or a beneficiary with tangible financial benefits, please contact:
