Overview
At the UCLA Medical Weight Management Program, cognitive and behavioral changes are critical components of long term-term sustainable weight management. Our group sessions are led by licensed psychologists and psychotherapists who specialize in weight and eating disorders. The Cognitive-Behavioral modality for treatment addresses the psychological and educational needs of patients as they proceed through the weight loss and maintenance phase. Group sessions provide a supportive environment for people to share their personal experiences and to acquire life-saving weight management skills.
