Gynecologic Oncologist (Physician-Scientist)

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA is seeking a board certified or board-eligible Gynecologic Oncologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor of OB/GYN. This position is 40% clinical service, and the remaining 60% effort is dedicated to research and education. The 40% patient care position will include providing comprehensive care to patients with gynecologic cancers at Olive View Medical Center, a safety net hospital, that is academically aligned with DGSOM.

The area of research focus can include health care outcomes including health care disparities, clinical trials, translational research geared to development of targeted therapies, and basic science research. Responsibilities include patient care, research, and supervision and education of medical students, residents, and gynecologic/oncology fellows in areas of clinical service and research.

Applicants must possess and M.D. or D.O. degree to apply and must be eligible for a California Medical License. They must also have completed an accredited Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship and have board certification / eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and board certification / eligibility in Gynecologic Oncology. Applicants with a strong research track record in gynecologic oncology are encouraged to apply.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience, credentials and prior accomplishments. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 - Summary. The salary range for this position is $325,000 - $425,000. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
