Auxiliary Program Involvement Opportunities

If you are looking for a way to become involved in the UCLA Health Community, consider joining the Auxiliary Program. There are many opportunities to get involved with the Auxiliary. You can volunteer in the Auxiliary shops to raise funds for patient aid and special hospital projects; work with the Adopt-A-Family Committee to bring holiday cheer to patients and their families; or serve on the executive committee where positions range from Grant Evaluations to Publicity. The Auxiliary provides the opportunity to make a difference in the UCLA Health Community.

Benefits of Auxiliary Program Membership

While an Auxiliary membership includes participating in many activities, it also provides the opportunity to expand your social circle; meet and work with people who are passionate about UCLA medicine and patients; and learn about cutting-edge medicine from UCLA doctors and scientists. Membership includes monthly meetings; quarterly excursions and cultural events; the Fall Volunteer Luncheon; and the Spring Awards Luncheon. Anyone is invited to join and the basic membership is $75.

Make A Difference

If you cannot volunteer, you can still make a difference. Your purchases at Auxiliary shops help the raise funds for patient aid and special projects at the UCLA Health Hospitals. Since 1955 the Auxiliary Program has donated over $11 million to the UCLA Health. Some of our more recent projects include:

Memorial and Tributes

If you would like to honor a loved one's life or a special occasion, you can make a tax deductible donation in their name. The Auxiliary publishes the memorial and tributes in our quarterly newsletter. Additionally, we send a card to the honoree or their family to notify them of the gift in their name. Finally each donor receives a receipt for tax purposes.

The Auxiliary is a 501(C)(3) charitable organization and raises funds through the following: Ronald Reagan Auxiliary Gift Shop, Auxiliary Gift Shop in the Peter Morton Medical Building, SM-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop, Auxiliary Thrift Shop, Membership Dues, and Donations.
