Are you a current or former smoker who has been diagnosed with HIV? You may qualify to take part in a research study! This research is studying if Doxycycline (an antibiotic medication) will help slow the progression of emphysema. Participants will be randomly assigned to either doxycycline or placebo. Who can participate? Individuals who are at least 30 years old; are living with HIV; and Have smoking related lung disease. All participants will be in the study for about 72 weeks.
