Stephen Shortell, PhD, MPH, MBA

"Dr. Shortell is the Blue Cross of CA Distinguished Professor of Health Policy and Management and Professor of Organization Behavior at the School of Public Health and Haas School of Business at UC-Berkeley. He is also the Director of CHOIR & Dean Emeritus of the School of Public Health. As an architect of the ACO concept, his research is on their implementation and performance as well as on patient activation and engagement He received his undergraduate degree from U of Notre Dame, his MPH from UCLA, and his MBA and Ph.D. in Behavioral Sciences from the U of Chicago."
