Walking with Wisdom

The UCLA People-Animal Connection (PAC) have partnered with the Nurses for Improving Care for Health System Elders (NICHE Committee) to create an event to recognize the elderly patients at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Many past PAC events have centered around bringing joy to the children in the hospital, but PAC makes it a priority to spread love and joy to all hospital patients. The Walking With Wisdom event gives PAC volunteers and their canines time to visit adult and elderly patients and promote physical and emotional well-being. The patients are able to not just visit with the dogs, but are also given the opportunity to take the leash and walk the PAC dogs through the hallways.
