Simon Delivers Conference Keynote

In February 2019, SBSM co-founder Bill Simon headlined the California Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAHPERD) state conference in Garden Grove, California. His keynote discussed the perils of childhood obesity, the positive effects of physical activity, and how fitness shaped his own life and passions.
During the conference SBSM representatives met with other influential advocates and supporters of physical education, including Paul Zientarski of Naperville Central High School; Mike Kuczala, co-author of Ready, Set, Go and Melanie Levenberg and Andy Hair, physical literacy instructors.
Simon was also honored with the Award for Distinguished Service to Recreation for his outstanding service to the recreation profession.
