Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Responsibilities:

As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at the Simms/Mann Center, I specialize in providing personalized nutrition counseling to support patients throughout their cancer journey. My goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to make informed food choices that enhance their well-being and complement their treatment plans. It is inspiring to support patients in making meaningful shifts in their lifestyle that result in improvements in quality of life and pleasure in eating!

Training and Professional Work:

I attended UCLA as an undergraduate (Go Bruins!) and went to CSULA for my Master’s degree in Nutritional Science. After graduation, I worked as a corporate dietitian for Northrop Grumman, where I had the opportunity to help employees experience improved health outcomes and enhanced focus at work. From there, I returned to UCLA to teach classes on conscious eating and body image and gave a TEDx talk about the mind-body connection. Thereafter, I completed a three-year certification in Spiritual Psychology: Consciousness, Health, and Healing at USM while helping my private patients recover from eating disorders and disordered eating (such as overeating, bingeing, emotional eating, undereating, purging, etc.). Now, I am excited to be back at UCLA and here at the Simms/Mann Clinic, helping patients improve their nutrition while making meaning of their cancer diagnosis.

Personal Interests:

In my free time, I love to spend time with loved ones, journal, read, watercolor, and explore new cafes with my dog, Jax, in search of the perfect iced chai latte.
