Call Center
Central phone intake: 310-825-5111
The UCLA Brain Tumor Center has a convenient, centralized call center with dedicated staff to assist you with all your initial needs. After answering a few basic questions about yourself, your brain tumor and any previous treatment you may have received, you will be registered as a UCLA Health patient. This initial call will allow our nurses, patient navigators and care coordination team to begin preparing for your care, ensuring that you will be seen by the appropriate physicians as quickly as possible.
Alternatively, if you have been referred to us by another physician, our team will reach out to you to discuss your care needs.
Care coordination and navigation team
Our navigators focus on making sure that you are seen by the right physician specialists at the right time, and help coordinate your care between multiple outpatient departments and Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center . They will also help connect you with the appropriate personnel for any specific questions or requests.
Nurse navigator and patient care coordinator role
Our experienced nurses and patient care coordinators are exclusively focused on providing patients with the best possible care coordination, with the goal of ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout all settings at UCLA Health. Traditional brain tumor care can be quite complex, with treatment and visits potentially taking place in inpatient and outpatient settings. The UCLA Brain Tumor Center’s navigators coordinate care between all departments, supporting patients and families during their care journeys as a key liaison for inter-departmental collaboration and communication.
Our nurse navigator will focus on the clinical and educational aspects of your care, while our patient care coordinator is a key point of contact for any administrative and coordination needs, including scheduling. They work together to ensure your care is coordinated from end-to-end, and will connect patients with helpful resources within UCLA Health and the community.
