Scientific Interests
Dr. Moghanaki's areas of interest regard early detection and treatment of lung cancer. He co-chairs a phase III randomized clinical trial that is sponsored by the VA Cooperative Studies Program that compares surgical lobectomy to stereotactic body radiation therapy for early stage lung cancer. He leads a national program in the VA that is funded through a public-private partnership to increase access to lung cancer. He is now leading a national precision oncology initiative in the VA to validate promising liquid biomarkers for early detection and management in large prospective clinical trials.
