Biography

I joined the Williams group in May 2015, and am interested in (1) ciliary protein trafficking, (2) the function of Usher syndrome genes and (3) the development of gene therapies for retinal degenerations.  I did my graduate work at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, where I studied the function of Drosophila joint and bristle proprioceptors, as well as motor adaptation in response to perturbations.  My other interests include kickboxing, bicycle riding, swing dancing and cooking\baking.
