Here at the UCLA Department of Head and Neck Surgery, a wide range of consultative and therapeutic services is provided for adult and pediatric patients. Our staff is available to assist you in selecting a specialist and discussing a referral.
Cochlear Implant Program
This program represents one of the largest and most prestigious and experienced cochlear implant centers in California, having provided quality medical care to close to 500 cochlear implant recipients, young and old.
Endocrine Surgery Program
This program includes endocrinologists, surgeons, radiologists and pathologists who are leaders in the identification and treatment of disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid.
Head and Neck Cancer Program
Head and neck surgical oncologists offer comprehensive, specialized care for patients with benign and malignant tumors of the pharynx, larynx, jaw and tongue, as well as tumors of the thyroid/parathyroid glands and carotid arteries.
Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgery
The Microvascular and Reconstructive Surgery section is at the forefront of surgical expertise, utilizing technically demanding surgical techniques in reconstruction of the jaws and mouth, the throat, and all areas of the face, scalp, and neck.

Nasal and Sinus Disease Program
The Nasal and Sinus Disease Program takes a comprehensive and coordinated approach to the medical and surgical management of nasal and sinus problems.
Otology/Neurotology
This practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the inner ear and eye movement control. Particular attention is paid to the causes of dizziness, tinnitus, and imbalance.
Pediatric Otolaryngology
The UCLA Pediatric Otolaryngology Program provides comprehensive medical and surgical management of ear, nose, and throat disorders in children.
Swallowing Disorders Program
The Swallowing Disorders Program provides expert personnel and state-of-the-art equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of swallowing disorders (dysphagia).
UCLA Balance Program
The UCLA Dizziness and Balance Program is a unique outpatient clinic system that combines medical doctors and physical therapists to offer a true multidisciplinary approach for diagnosis and treatment of dizziness and balance disorders.
UCLA Facial Aesthetic Program

UCLA Voice Center for Medicine and the Arts
The Voice Center consists of a multidisciplinary team of experts (laryngologists, voice scientists, speech pathologists, and voice teachers) who provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art evaluation and management of patients with voice disorders.
Airway Stenosis Program
The Airway Stenosis Program is geared towards treatment of breathing problems due to narrowing of the airway from the nose to the trachea.
Sleep Surgery
The UCLA Sleep Surgery Program includes experts with a personalized medicine approach to the surgical evaluation and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring.
