Mission and Vision

Our Mission

To train physicians to be skilled in understanding how social determinants of health affect overall health so that equitable interventions are created to improve overall population health.

We aim to achieve this by offering our trainees the opportunities to learn and lead through a breadth of unique experiences including:

• Developing a strong foundation in public health theory from a renowned school of public health.

• Planning, executing and evaluating community-based programs within a large and robust public health department.

• Preventive medicine and population health within large healthcare systems including a large academic health system and a veteran’s health system.
