Post-Doctoral Training
There are currently 44 individuals pursuing post-doctoral research in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine laboratories. In 2010, approximately 1,160 postdoctoral scholars engaged in studies in life science, engineering or biomedical sciences at UCLA. As with most research institutions, post-doctoral fellows apply directly to laboratories in which they have an interest, and the faculty member who directs it serves as the mentor. Advanced post-doctoral training in our various departmental specialty areas is offered in almost all of our research laboratories. In addition to gaining further proficiency at the bench, our postdoctoral trainees are exposed to cutting edge advances through attendance and participation in the wide range of seminars and symposia sponsored by UCLA.
