With more than 2,000 full-time and 1,000 affiliated faculty members, the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM), complemented by world-class health, social, and life science programs in the School of Public Health, School of Public Affairs, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and College of Letters and Science is well-positioned to provide a supportive home at UCLA in partnership with the UCLA Health-Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) consortia to develop and analyze Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and CKD risk factors.

Dr. Susan Wong, one of our collaborators, has been selected for the extraordinarily prestigious honor of Fulbright Distinguished Professor at the University of Leeds, England, UK for academic year 2024-2025. The Fulbright Award exemplifies qualities of service, leadership, excellence ,and contributions to society.
Dr. Wong will investigate the feasibility of adapting kidney palliative care models in the United Kingdom's National Health Service for implementation within the infrastructure of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
