Scope of Service

The Office of Environmental Health & Safety provides consultation and training services, develops and monitors safety programs and procedures, and responds to health and safety service requests. In addition, EH&S ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local health and safety and environmental regulations and standards.  EH&S has oversight responsibility for fire and life safety, hazardous materials use and disposal, general safety and ergonomics, environmental compliance and supports Emergency Management, Utilities and Security related activities.
