Why I chose UCLA: The reason I chose UCLA to continue my clinical education in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology came down the the exceptional peds cardiac team, including anesthesia, CT surgery and pediatric cardiology. The cases are clinically challenging which allows much to be learned from each and every patient. The strength of the program and its reach beyond the UCLA campus is impressive due to a large referral base from other children's hospitals in the area.
While I love my job as a pediatric anesthesiologist, my greatest joy is my family and the great adventures we've had throughout my medical education. By the time I finished medical school we had 3 kids, all born in different cities and have continued to explore new places as they've grown. While living in SoCal we are enjoying living in the south bay across the street from the beach with daily trips to the water, fun nearby parks or riding our bikes up and down the strand. As we return back to SLC following this year we look forward to more time in the mountains snow skiing during the winter and water skiing and hiking during the summer.
