Why I chose UCLA: There are many reasons! The UCLA environment and culture are incredible. People are kind, helpful, and fun to work with. The facilities are top notch and state of the art. Our cases are challenging and push us to become phenomenal pediatric anesthesiologists. The program is also well balanced with plenty of time to spend with family and friends outside of the hospital.
Dr. Daniel Salazar is passionate about participating in local and international healthcare initiatives and medical missions throughout his career. His personal interests include sports (NFL, NBA, MLB), traveling, cooking, and dining. During his free time, he also enjoys activities such as snowboarding, wakeboarding, and weightlifting.

Why I chose UCLA: I chose UCLA because I really enjoyed the faculty and staff. UCLA fosters a great working environment that centers around putting the patient first while allowing trainees to learn in an encouraging working environment. I also could not deny the great weather and chill vibes of being in LA!
Dr. Shatira Wilson enjoys traveling, cooking, journaling, and photography. Her future goals include having a career at an academic center and working closely with a diverse pediatric population.
