Clinical Trials
Eye research studies at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute are classified as patient-based or clinical research. These studies often represent the final stages of research prior to dissemination to the ophthalmology community for use with the general population. All studies have been reviewed and approved by the Federal Drug Administration and the UCLA Human Subject Protection Committee.
Closely linked to the Institute's clinical and education programs, they offer patients an opportunity to participate in experimental treatment options and emerging therapies.
