Our five current training tracks and preceptors are:

1. Westwood Epilepsy
At Westwood only
Preceptors John Stern MD, Jerome “Pete” Engel MD PhD
One or two positions in EEG and Epilepsy
Two-year training:
First year in the Clinical Neurophysiology program
Second year in the Epilepsy program

2. Pediatric Epilepsy
At Westwood only
Preceptors Lekha Rao MD, Joyce Matsumoto MD
One or two positions in EEG and Epilepsy with emphasis on child studies and patient care
Two-year training:
First year in the Clinical Neurophysiology program
Second year in the Epilepsy program

3. WW-VA Epilepsy
At Westwood and WLA VA
Preceptors James Chen MD PhD and Marc R. Nuwer MD PhD
One or two positions tailored to EEG and Epilepsy
Two-year training:
First year in the Clinical Neurophysiology program
Second year in the Epilepsy program

4. WW-VA EEG-EMG
At Westwood and WLA VA
Preceptors James Chen MD PhD, David Naylor MD PhD
One position for one-year training in both EEG and EMG

5. WW-VA Intraoperative Monitoring
At Westwood and WLA VA
Preceptors Marc R. Nuwer MD PhD, Inna Keselman MD PhD
One position tailored to EEG and Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM)
Two-year training:
First year in the Clinical Neurophysiology program
Second year in the Intraoperative Monitoring program
