Our faculty and staff provide care in Westwood and other clinic locations. The UCLA Department of Neurology consists of a diverse team of accomplished, dedicated, and talented faculty and staff who deliver exceptional patient care, and conduct a wide variety of internationally recognized clinical, basic science, and translational research projects. Westwood faculty: Our Westwood Faculty dedicate their time to research, patient care or a combination of both. They work on the Westwood campus exclusively, except where indicated. Many of the faculty at Westwood are experts in subspecialties within neurology, such as stroke, epilepsy or migraine. Their areas of specialization are indicated next to their names.
Faculty at affiliated sites: Some of our faculty provide patient care at off-site clinics. Their locations and areas of specialization are indicated next to their names.
UCLA community neurologists: Our community neurologists provide general neurology care at off-site clinics (locations indicated by their names). Our community neurologists are employed by UCLA Health and are a first point of contact for a patient needing neurological care. UCLA community neurologists are closely linked to the subspecialists within areas of neurology at the UCLA Neurology Clinic in Westwood, and patients are referred, if needed for additional consultation, to Westwood.
Department of Neurology staff providers: Our staff providers include neurologists and a nurse practitioner who are employees of the Department of Neurology. Their areas of specialization and location are indicated by their names.
Fellows: Our post-graduate fellows choose their area of expertise or subspecialty and are supervised by our faculty who are leaders in their fields of specialization.
Residents: Our residents come to us from the top medical schools in the country. During their residency they are exposed to all neurology programs at all levels of training.
Researchers Academic Series: Our researchers are instrumental in supporting the faculty’s research objectives. Their full-time dedication has resulted in significant research discoveries.
Emeritus faculty: After giving years of dedication to patient care and research, our emeritus faculty have retired in good standing.
Research trainees: Our research trainees are an essential part of the team. Research trainees have a mentored research experience that includes both didactics and one-on-one mentoring.
Central administration: Our central administration staff is the glue that supports our primary goals of providing outstanding patient care, conducting life-changing Research and fostering excellence in education of future neurologists and neuroscientists.
