UCLA and UCLA Health partner with Human-I-T for the donation of e-waste in order to create equitable access to technology and support for local communities. Human-I-T(Link is external) collects donated corporate technology, or e-waste, and re-furbishes and re-directs that technology within our local communities in need. 

Before Donating, UCLA Health departments should:

Ensure approval is obtained by department and ISS for disposal for: 

  • ISS Managed devices
  • Asset Managed devices that are UCLA Health property or exceeding $5,000
  • Items inventoried by Clinical Engineering

For other items, or once approval is received by department for donation of the above items, follow the e-waste donation process.
